Just as the name implies, this type of respite care is offered in the home. Your loved one won’t have to uproot out of their comfortable surroundings. Instead the healthcare professionals will come to them and provide the care they need.

Illuminated Hearts provides in-home respite care so you can take a break from your duties without causing any discomfort for your loved one.

Out-of-Home Respite

Out-of-home respite care typically involves adult day care centers or residential programs. Adult day centers provide care during daytime hours from Monday to Friday. Meals and snacks are typically included but overnight services are not provided.

Residential programs are for temporary care that includes overnight services. 24 hour care will be provided in a facility such as a nursing home or hospital.
